From Dick Weimer
The fall sports season is upon us, the time of players and cheerleaders. Although we cannot [all] be players, we can be cheerleaders – that is, cheerleaders for our Society. I am sure most of you would like to see us continue to grow. We can all help this cause by becoming cheerleaders for the Randolph Township Historical Society.
Start telling your neighbors and friends about us. Give them a sampling of our holdings and what we are about. Tell them how we are expanding our capabilities. Mention the programs we have and how we are diligently striving to preserve the heritage of our community.
If we all take up this challenge of sharing what we have and our love for preserving our history, we can spread the word about our society all over our communities. Let’s get out and spread our message. [Pick up an extra copy of the newsletter and share it with your neighbor, hairdresser, or barber.]
The more help [players] we have, the more hours we can be open and the more activities we can provide. The support for these activities can be spread around and eliminate the need to depend on the same group [of volunteers] for support.
