The President's Message
Volume 15, Issue 3
From Dick Weimer

July - 2013

Fellow Members - We have something to blow our horns about. We are fifteen years old and growing.  We have accomplished in that time: a substantial membership base, permanent facility, great exhibits, and excellent programs. Now let's turn our efforts to finding out how great we can become.

A small group of dedicated members has been the catalyst to our success thus far, but just think how much more we could accomplish with more dedicated hands. My challenge, then, is to see how many more members we can get involved in our projects and activities. I am sure there are members who have many different ideas for programs and exhibits. Let us hear what they might be and help us implement them.

Keep our “15 for 15” fund drive in mind. Mark July 27th on your calendar and attend our Fifth Anniversary Gathering. We are having an old-fashioned ice cream social with entertainment provided by Farmer Brown's Barbershop Quartet. This is a great opportunity to renew friendships, see what we are doing at the Center, offer support, and share your ideas about future growth.

We need to expand our horizons, and this requires a lot of new input. I am sure there are many good ideas floating around among you, so let's share them. Remember, an organization is only as strong as its weakest link. Hope to see you on the 27th. Bring your ideas with you.
