Volume 16, Issue 1
From Glynn Marsh
January - 2014
As the newly elected president, I cannot say enough about the support from you, our members, over the past fifteen years and notably the past five. We all can be especially proud and humble that monies collected from donations and fundraising activities initiated in 2008 have put us “over-the-top” of our $100,000 goal for the building fund. This is a remarkable achievement in six years. In 2014, we will step back from some of the fundraising and start making necessary and noticeable improvements to the History Center, while embarking on some new adventures. Stay tuned.
Because each year builds on the successes of the old, I want to recognize the hard work of our past officers and board members. Thank you Dick Weimer for leading the Society for the past two years. We appreciate your willingness to serve as Vice-President in 2014 and keep us on the right path. Outgoing board member and newlywed Martha Craig Taulbee served for four years and is responsible for many of her Randolph H. S. friends joining RTHS. JoeAnne Conners leaves after serving two years and sharing her perspective as a local past business owner and resident. Bill Zellers was a strong supporter until illness forced him to resign his position this fall. Janet Stahl was appointed to take his place on the board for 2014. Jim Eidemiller and Genni King were relected to new two-year terms in January, and Ron Papp and Shirley Whiting are joining the board for the first time. We invite any and all of you to get more involved and share your ideas, skills, and time.
